FAST TRACK CONSTRUCTION
This contract was time critical with a deadline of less than 2 years to complete the apartment buildings including community services buildings and total infrastructure.
The key to achieving this seemingly impossible construction program was without question the decision to engineer, design and construct all of the buildings with on-site LGS Technology.
The LGS Structure was built with a combination of C89mm Profiles and C140 Profiles
In less than 6 months 7,800 LGS frames were manufactured, assembled requiring just over 10,000 metric tons of galvanised steel coils.
LGS Methodology
The perimeter & common area load bearing walls were constructed with a LGS 140mm profile and the apartment walls constructed with a twin 89mm profile to carry the line loads and provide acoustic de-coupling and fire compartment separation for the apartments
All composite material floors supported by load bearing lattice beam joists, with a combination of C89mm and C140mm Profiles
The roof was constructed from tapered LGS roof beams manufactured with a C140 Profile

FRAMING TECHNOLOGY
This project would require SFS SP160 Framers (89mm profiles) to manufacture the apartment walls, floor joists and SFS SP160 Framers (140mm profiles) for the perimeter walls, common area walls and wide span roof beams
